(904) 932-0002The washing machine connection is the highest-risk fitting in the house: a rubber hose under constant pressure, behind a machine nobody moves, feeding the biggest flood most homes ever see. Ten minutes of prevention here beats every other plumbing dollar you can spend.
- Burst and bulging supply hoses replaced with braided steel
- Seized laundry valves and outlet box replacement
- Standpipe overflows on the spin cycle
- Laundry drain line cleaning
- Drain pans and auto-shutoff valves installed
- Laundry relocations and new hookups

The spin cycle overflow
Modern washers pump out faster than older 1.5 inch laundry drains were designed to take, so a line with even partial lint and soap buildup backs up exactly at peak flow and floods the room. A proper cleaning of the standpipe and branch line solves most cases; where the pipe itself is undersized we will tell you the real options rather than re-clearing it every six months.
Five dollars of rubber, thousands in damage
Original equipment rubber hoses fail without warning, and they fail hardest when the house is empty. Braided stainless hoses, valves that actually turn, and a shutoff you can reach are the cheap fixes. For laundry rooms upstairs, a drain pan and an automatic leak shutoff valve are worth every cent, and we install both in a single visit.
Washing machines questions we hear most
Every five years for rubber, or upgrade once to braided stainless and stop thinking about it. If a hose shows any bulge or rust at the crimp, replace it now.
Restricted venting or a partial clog in the standpipe. It is the early warning that the overflow is coming, and a cleaning now is far cheaper than a flooded laundry room later.
Yes. Garage to hallway closet, or into a new laundry room: we run supply, drain and vent to code and coordinate with your electrician on the circuit.
