(904) 932-0002Two pipe materials drive most of the repipes we do: polybutylene, installed here by the mile from the late 1970s through the mid 1990s, and galvanized steel in the prewar neighborhoods. Both fail from the inside, so the pipe looks fine right up until it is not.
- Full repipes in PEX or copper
- Polybutylene replacement, often insurance-driven
- Galvanized supply replacement in historic homes
- Room-by-room scheduling so the house stays livable
- Drywall access patched, textured and paint-ready
- Permits pulled and inspections handled

How to know it is time
Brown water in the morning, pressure that drops when two fixtures run, fittings that weep at the shutoffs, or a second pinhole leak in a different part of the house: any two of those together and you are spending repair money on a system that is telling you it is finished. Some insurers in Florida now surcharge or decline homes with polybutylene outright, which turns the repipe from a plumbing decision into a paperwork one.
What a repipe actually looks like
Two to four days for most single-family homes. Water stays on each night. We open the minimum drywall the routing allows, run PEX or copper per your preference and budget, replace every angle stop and supply line while the walls are open, then patch, texture and leave surfaces paint-ready. The permit is pulled in your name and the inspection is on record for resale.
Repiping and pipes questions we hear most
PEX costs less, installs faster, tolerates our water better and is what we recommend for most repipes. Copper still makes sense in specific runs and for owners who prefer it. We quote both without attitude.
The failure mode is real: chlorine embrittles the material at fittings and it lets go without warning. There is no repair that changes the material. If your home has it, plan the replacement on your schedule instead of the pipe's.
Insurance covers sudden damage, not the aging pipe. But many carriers offer meaningful premium reductions after a documented repipe, and some require one to renew. Bring us the letter and we will match the scope to it.
